Bio

Like a Virgin and Vogue are synonymous with Madonna, and it’s possible that only a few members of the very young generation have not heard of Madonna. She is a star that has made her mark not only in the music industry but also as an actress, director, and enterprise mogul.

At 64, the “Queen of Pop” is still rocking stages with her explosive performances across the world. Madonna has been in the music business for over four decades and has become known as one of the most famous pop stars of all time. She has reinvented herself repeatedly and pushed every boundary possible with her artistic expression in mainstream music. Contrary to how things usually work in the music industry, Madonna has remained in control of her career and is the driving force behind her versatility in music production, songwriting, and visual presentation.

In 1983, at 25, the American singer, songwriter, and actress released her debut album, Madonna, which was followed by her best-selling album, Like a Virgin. Madonna has sold over 300 million records worldwide and is known as the best-selling female recording artist of all time and the most successful solo artist in the history of the US.

Madonna has not only released fourteen studio albums but also proven to be an actress to be reckoned with, starring in seventeen films and directing two. The star has won a total of seven Grammy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, five Billboards Music Awards, and twenty MTV Music Video Awards. VH1 has ranked Madonna as the greatest woman in music, and MTV and Billboard ranked her as the best music video artist ever. Rolling Stone has listed her among its greatest artists and greatest songwriters of all time.

Madonna’s Celebration Tour is running throughout this year, and you can get a ticket to any of her concerts from Ticket Master.
